SciSmart Applications——Line Detection

       Line Detection tool is commonly used in positioning, measuring and other cases. Find line tool use edge points that meet set conditions to fit a straight line, through underlying algorithm.

Application: Angle between two lines.

Software: SCI Smart Camera 2.4.1804.x.x and above.

Function：By positioning the two straight sides of a right angle, calculate the included angle.

Steps：

Step1: Read image by “Image import”. Replace the path of the images located. For example: D:/Demo Project/ Line Detection /image /1.jpg. 

Step2: Use the Grey Match tool, using the matching center and matching angle as the correction reference.

Step3: Use the ROI Alignment Tool to follow the ROI of the find edge to ensure that the edge is found accurately.

Step4: Find a horizontal edge using the Line Detection tool, and enable ROI correction.

Step5: Find a vertical edge using the Line Detection tool, and enable ROI correction.

Step6: Calculate the angle between two edges using the included angle of the vector in the Geometric Relationship tool.

Step7: Display the results by “Overlay”.
