SciSmart Applications——Image Filtering
While the process of imaging, transmission and description, the image will be disturbed from various signals thus the noise would be generated. Likewise, the noises always appear as isolated pixel points or pixel blocks, which have strong visual effects on the image. In digital image processing, image filtering has always been adapted to process such image.
Image filtering is a process, which can restrain the noise signal of the image and ensure the detail of the image is not destroyed. The filtering methods include mean filter, median filter, Gaussian filter, Laplace filter and Sobel filter etc.
Application: Restrain the noise signal.
Software: SCI Smart Camera 2.4.1804.x.x and above.
Function:Use Gaussian filtering tool to restrain the noise signal in image.

Steps:

Step1:Read image by “Image import”. replace the path of the images located, For example: D:/Demo Project/ Image Filtering/image /1.jpg.
Step2: Use “Filtering” tool to restrain the noise signal in image. Open the setting parameters interface, select the Gausslan, as shown in figure3.

Step3: Display the results by “Overlay”.
